County Incentive Programs
In addition to paralleling many of the City tax credit programs, Frederick County offers several supplementary programs available to City businesses.
Frederick County Small Business Tax Credit
Businesses who obtain at least 2,500 square feet of new or expanded premises and employ at least five people in full-time jobs during a 24-month period in the same time period, may be eligible for a Small Business Tax Credit. Learn more here.
Business Pitch Services
Frederick County offers two free services to assistant those who are looking to build their business capital:
- Business Pitch Room at ROOT: A state-of-the-art video pitch room that allows Frederick residents and businesses to have their business pitch videotaped at no charge
- Pitch Creator: An online, self-paced learning program

Employer Connection: A Program of TransIT
TransIT Services of Frederick County works with Frederick-based employers free of charge to help implement transportation benefits which include anything and everything from telework programs, compressed work weeks or flex scheduling to finding vanpools or alternative ways to work.
