Business Parks

Thirteen business parks in the City, zoned for a variety of uses including office, manufacturing and R&D, offer both turnkey and build-to-suit opportunities. MedImmune and BP Solar have a long tradition in Center Park, with both companies undergoing multi-million dollar expansions. Ballenger Center is a developing park with both existing and build-to-suit Class A office space that is already home to companies such as Lockheed Martin, General Dynamics and the Frederick News-Post.

Wells Fargo is the newest tenant at Riverside Corporate Park, neighboring the biotech cluster of SeraCare Bioservices, VaLogic LLC, SriSai Biopharmaceuticals and Charles River Labs. Also part of this growing biotech cluster, Riverside Research Park is adjacent to the existing development in the Riverside area and offers 100 acres of developable land for a future research and development campus.

Frederick Research Park offers zoning for a medical and professional offices as well as light industrial, and is home to companies such as PNC Bank, DVC, LLC-A CSC Company, and EDCO Manufacturing. For manufacturing and industrial needs, Industrial Center East and Frederick Airport Park offer both existing leasable space as well as land for build-to-suits. Business Corridors
Frederick’s traditional business corridors offer opportunities for both office and retail demands. The Golden Mile, Frederick's primary retail corridor, has seen more than $25 million in reinvestment over the past four years. With the coming redevelopment of the Frederick Town Mall and the renovation of the Vista shopping center, revitalized retail space offers excellent opportunities for national, regional and local retailers. A growing cluster of ethnic retail can also be found on the Golden Mile, highlighting the increasing diversity of Frederick.

Downtown
Downtown Frederick offers beautifully renovated office and retail space in historic 18th, 19th and 20th century buildings. These eclectic spaces are ideal for niche independent retailers as well as office users and technology companies looking for loft-style office space in the heart of a thriving commercial center. A growing cluster of technology companies have move to Downtown, drawn by the culture, atmosphere and creative spaces within the historic district.
