Incubators

Frederick Innovative Technology Center, Inc. (FITCI)  named one of the largest incubators and accelerators by the Baltimore Business Journal every year since 2017, offers biotech, agtech, high tech and life science entrepreneurs offices, wet labs, and support services. A major expansion was recently completed to increase the 70+ member organization’s capacity.

The EDGE at 321 Ballenger Center now offers 30,000 SF with 4,500 SF of community space with state-of-the-art conferencing equipment. Renovation on the current Metropolitan Center begins with an expansion of bio-manufacturing and agtech center offering 25,000 SF.

Shared Kitchens

Maryland Bakes, The Cutting Board, and The Cook's Kitchen are health-department approved kitchens that offer memberships to independent food artists.

Makerspace

The new Monroe Center Makerspace is a fully equipped lab with new technology and equipment, including:

  • 3D printers/scanners
  • Hardware supplies
  • High-end computer stations
  • Universal laser system

Flexible Co-Work Spaces

FITCI, Cowork Frederick,  A Corner Office, SL Studio Coworking, Firehouse Shared Suites, The Offices at Bentz, The SANAI Center, and SHIFT Work + Play  provide flexible office and shared space options at reduced rates.

For Non-Profits

Federated Charities is a non-profit focused on helping other non-profits get their start here in Frederick. The organization offers development assistance, in addition to low-cost office space.
